Last year Belgian investors paid an average of 240,000 euro for a second home in Spain. That meant an increase of 26 percent over the year before. Before a two-year period with a status-quo on 170,000 euro was  recorded. This is the conclusion of a report from a leading Belgian real estate group and leader in Spanish real estate.

Despite rising prices Spanish real estate remains still particularly popular with Belgian investors. The prices of the real estate in Spain compared to Belgium, after all, are still relatively low, but especially in the coastal areas they will have to pay more and more for a second home, where as a result of the Spanish crisis property  had become particularly cheap for a while.

In the Spanish inland prices still remain lower.

The Belgian investor usually plans a budget of approximately EUR 180 000 for the purchase of a second home in Spain.
